Jumpstart Student Learning with Technology: Differentiating Instruction in the K-12 Classroom

This presentation will demonstrate how storytelling technology, such as PhotoStory and iMovie, can be valuable digital resources in the K-12 classroom. One area of emphasis will be “Digital Jumpstarts,” a scaffolding tool that teachers can use to build background knowledge and pre-teach key vocabulary related to a topic of study. This tool can easily be modified for use with students across grade levels and content areas to provide differentiated instruction for ESL students, struggling readers, and students of all ability levels.
